We were able to sneak in 5 days at the Cottage in Glen Lake, Tracy's favorite place on earth.
It was a typical visit, biking, walking, food, games, family, telling stories, reading books, dune climbs, happy hours with Lynn/Gary, special meal for Grandma/pa/Lynn/Gary ... etc.
However ...this year, we did add a few new adventures!
Snacks are now kept in the dishwasher since its broken.
Suttons Bay has a VERY cool Brewery/Restaurant (Hop Lots) and Tracy even ran into one of her case managers, super small world! Next time we visit we are going to do a Tall Ships tour!
Kay, Billy and Herbie rented jet skis and I'm glad I didn't know how fast they were going:)
We visited the Port Oneida historic fair and Kay was crazy for all the farm animals. They were adorable and we found an amazing food truck - Cozy Unicorn. Best. Panini's. Ever.
We got to see Grandpa and Grandma "in action" as volunteers/docents at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. Grandpa shares history and Grandma is a bike trail ambassador and hands out free ice cream cards for anyone following the rules. Plus, they know EVERYONE that works for volunteers at the park.
Tom helped Grandma figure out how to clean her hearing aids.
Billy took so many really cool photos of plants and landscape. He also spent most of our beach walk shooing lady bugs away from the waves...
Finally, we did Pierce Stocking #9. Its was hard, I wont lie. Plus, I am afraid of heights and it was very unnerving as the angle is SUPER steep!
Cant wait to go back.
Hope you all get time at your favorite place this year.
Big hugs and love and peace and deep summer breaths.
