St Patricks Day and Other March Updates

Sort of a weird few weeks. Snow storms, 50 degree days, rain, busy-ness and times of antsy boredom plus vaccines and everything else COVID crazy.

We did a small St Pats Day bonfire with the neighborhood kids, they loved dressing up Maui. We WILL do our parade later this year, once we have herd immunity. Its our 20th year after all!

The morning of a major snow storm. The current snow had all melted so, its was a bit of a bummer BUT...a gorgeous sunrise. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning.

It felt like we lived in an Ansel Adams world. All black and white and greys. Beautiful but I'm glad it didnt last long

Jeremiah has been battling melanoma and lymphnoma which has left him looking like a bit of a train wreck. He's hanging in there though and is happy that he can now have guests at his apartment and go to peoples homes for dinner.

Hiked Pike Island. The Dakotas believe this is the center of the universe, where the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers intersect. Its a super cool place.

We saw a bald eagle on our hike and it felt really auspicious

Lots of love floating around....

Billy has a girlfriend! Tyra (in the middle) is a friend from taekwondo and Billys coach, Master Franklin's daughter. She is SUPER sweet. He's bought her flowers and had her over for dinner. They held hands on the way to the park and cuddled while watching Stranger Things with the fireplace on. WAY too cute. XOXOXO

Covid update #10!!

Things have changed SO MUCH in the last 2 weeks! Tom and I both had our second vaccines, we had a snow storm and today it was 60 degrees. Kay quit gymnastics with only 4 meets left to go (lots of drama and arguing with the coaches for a long long long week). Billy might have a girl friend (he gets all smiley when he's playing video games with her - at the very least he likes her. She's Master Franklins daughter Tyra so...he'd better play his cards straight). Jimmy started playing D line in practice and is GETTING noticed!   Maui is back to loving walks and being naughty.  As always, never a dull moment with the LoudAmericans.  XOXOX T& T

Tracy and Wendy went hiking (in a snow storm) to find Zug Zug, a art installation of a caveman in "ice". It randomly showed up in Theo Worth park and finding him as been all the rage this winter in MPLS.

Newest menu item - corned venison with homemade thousand island and saucerkraut for amazing reubens. with Kay bait (apple fennel salad of course)

1 week after finding Zug Zug, we set off to find Zarah, the female cavewoman/mom in Crosby Farm Park. It was 50 degrees LITERALLY 7 days later. Crazy

Snow melting and signs of spring

Needless to say, that snow man doesn't exist anymore
