MN is set to have one of the snowiest years on record and I can verify. The snow just keeps coming and coming and coming. It's getting old. Everyone is 'done'. However, Wendy had a great point. If we are close to breaking a record, then lets at least DO IT! Let's be #1. This winter has sucked at least we can brag we made it through the worst snow winter ever....who's with me?!
Besides travel delays, remote learning and working from home due to weather/road conditions, we've found other ways to survive.
Red Hawk Hunting - Tom shadowed a falconder on a rabbit hunt with this Red Hawk. SUPER cool and bucket list
Cooking/Food - Timpano, smoked baloney, cranberry cake with butter "gravy", beanie weenies, Oso Buco and lots of appetizers plus fighting the crowds at the Food and Wine show
Games/new toys - for Maui and Kleo plus cribbage for Tom & I, poker for Murphy siblings on anniversary of Jeremiah's passing
Concerts - SPRINGSTEEN! Tom thinks it was his 46th time seeing him. Plus, Martin Zeller sings Neil Diamond (and he autographed my dress) but the highlight of the month...Billy's orchestra played with Jeremy Messersmith. They were all SO GOOD!
Silliness - crazy hair and hat day at Adult Day Services
Small world moments - Tracy running into Tom F at the Rotary and Bridget/Andy at Martin Z
Hope you all found connection, warmth, love and peace during this crazy winter.
