Are you ready for some football?! Part 2

Oh … and U of M parents weekend.

Got to hang with Billy, meet some of his friends and a really nice expat family that we hit it off with (Direns parents) plus had Korean corn dogs - yum!!

It’s always awesome to see Sue, enjoy Green Bay and he at Lambeau. Yes, we are still married and no, neither of us is happy with how the game ended (Packers lost and Kurt Cousins is out gif the season with a torn Achilles)

We had the traditional pasta and meatballs (Sue’s favorite) and Sammy’s. Got caught up on SNL and watched the Wiz (love that movie)

All in all a good weekend

Love that we can have these adventures together 💕

The UW marching band did the national anthem and it was epic

Are you ready for some football?! Part 1 VMI

It was such a gorgeous weekend and so fun to spend it with Jimmy and my parents. VMI didn’t win but it was a perfect day for football friends tailgating and cheering on our favorite players. Love his friends and their parents so much. They are smart kind funny gracious and determined - best of the best. For life.

Xoxo to all and RahVaMil!!

October updates

What a CRAZY month!

Biggest news of the year. Cedric proposed to Maria, turned 22 10 days later and married Maria 2 days after he turned 22. On surf boards! In Puerto Viejo!  Sue managed to get down their and surprise them and we were all cheering them on from our northern states. Can't wait to celebrate with them in the future. So much love.

Wendy's mother in law came for a 10 day visit and we got to spend time catching up and eating a delicious dinner (smoked salmon, Annemieks favorite). So glad she's willing to travel to us.

Tracy had an annual conference in DC and it was the perfect weather. Would be nice to have legislators that are governing instead of posturing/trying to get re-elected but...who say's democracy is dead ...

Wendy got a new puppy! Zoe!  4 months old, tiny, Austrian shepard mix.  She's a total doll and I think they will make each other very happy.

Grandma and Grandpa volunteered in the Sleeping Bear Dunes marathon in 40 degree weather, 20 mph wind and rain. Sounds fun, doesn't it?

Billy lasted a full month without taekwondo. He and Ava hit their 1st class at the U and said the coach is great and they are sore! He also had his 1 set of exams and thinks they went "ok". He's made himself a "nest" under his bed. All is good and he's happy.

Kay is going great at work, bubbles are her speciality and she's always known for spoiling the dogs. Unfortunately, she had another bout of strep which landed her in the ER to get her throat lanced. It was gross and I can't imagine the level of pain she was in since immediately after the procedure she felt better/less pain. She stayed with us for 1 night to recover and now is on another week of horse pills. This means a tonsillectomy and she is scared to death. Poor kid. We need to get her healthy 1st.

Jimmy got to carry the flag out for the arch rivalry Citadel game and they secured the silver shanko. The boys were crazy excited and..he's in a SoCon D1 VMI commercial on ESPN+ carrying the flag. I need to track that down.

We've had a number of fall thunderstorms and Maui is not a fan. He tried to hide under the couch. Meanwhile, Kleo slept through it all.

More to come...this week we are off to VMI to see Jimmy at Parents Weekend. Grandma and Grandpa are meeting us and his "host" family from DC will be there too! Should be fun!

Love, fall, leaves, peace, hugs and all things good to you and yours....
