In like a lion …

They saying, in like a lion, out like a lamb...sure hope that's true this year since March has been a hot mess in 2023? 9th snowiest winter with a good chance to hit 7th and an outside change of 6th. Urgh...but the show must go one! Good thing we have LOTS of fun stuff every March.

Jimmy was home for spring break. Georgia swam (and took 7th) in NCAA's, Kay and Tracy watched the stream and cheered their fool heads off. Solomon walked Huge Boss in Miami and Julie flew to see him. Billy took 2 golds and 2 silvers at teakwood state.  We hosted our 20th annual St Pats Day Parade. Tracy paid tribute to Grandma Bill in a pretty amazing LinkedIn post for International Women's Day. Of course, Tracy celebrated Pi Day with all her favorite math music. We snuck in a mini graduation party for Billy during the St Pats Party. We lit the 1st bonfire of the year! Jimmy reconnect with friends and we all crashed out on the couch.

Big hugs and love to all of you!  Let's hope the rest of March is less eventful (weather wise at least!)

Surviving snow

MN is set to have one of the snowiest years on record and I can verify. The snow just keeps coming and coming  and coming. It's getting old. Everyone is 'done'.  However, Wendy had a great point. If we are close to breaking a record, then lets at least DO IT! Let's be #1. This winter has sucked at least we can brag we made it through the worst snow winter ever....who's with me?!

Besides travel delays, remote learning and working from home due to weather/road conditions, we've found other ways to survive.

Red Hawk Hunting - Tom shadowed a falconder on a rabbit hunt with this Red Hawk. SUPER cool and bucket list

Cooking/Food - Timpano, smoked baloney, cranberry cake with butter "gravy", beanie weenies, Oso Buco and lots of appetizers plus fighting the crowds at the Food and Wine show

Games/new toys - for Maui and Kleo plus cribbage for Tom & I, poker for Murphy siblings on anniversary of Jeremiah's passing

Concerts - SPRINGSTEEN! Tom thinks it was his 46th time seeing him. Plus, Martin Zeller sings Neil Diamond (and he autographed my dress) but the highlight of the month...Billy's orchestra played with Jeremy Messersmith. They were all SO GOOD!

Silliness - crazy hair and hat day at Adult Day Services

Small world moments - Tracy running into Tom F at the Rotary and Bridget/Andy at Martin Z

Hope you all found connection, warmth, love and peace during this crazy winter.
