Gratitude week

Grateful for all he amazing people in our lives and our ability to participate in everything we want to do! Cooking, walking, football, 5ks, games, reading books...

Hope this holiday you carve out time for peace, sleep, love, hugs, good foods, great friends, loving family, self care, kindness, generousity, breathing, grace and time outside.

We started our holiday season off well!

Love you all!

Billy did the turkey trot with his TKD family

Tom and Jimmy ran into Scott and Alexis at the game

Sue came to visit and the kids got all caught up

The dogs enjoyed walks and snuggles

That doesn't look comfortable, does it

Decorated for Christmas and the Jim Fellows shire is always the 1st thing we put up

Jimmy was ecstatic with a Vikings win

Tracy, Sue, Wendy and Cyn played a few board games

I swear, he didnt even sweat

After an amazing night at Owamni, Tom was inspired with - venison medallions in a wild mushroom and brandy sauce, wild rice salad and black lentils in a demi glaze. SO....good

Thanksgiving was ham, aunt mini's, 7 layer salad, biscuits, cranberry sauce from a  can and wendy's speciality green beans and homemade pumpkin pie

SUPER fun retro game

Surrounded by love

Looking at Wendy's photo albums of the Wendy and books of A's memorial parties

Sue replenished us with Point Black Cherry Cream Soda and...Guess where Billy got accepted?! UW Stevens Point in Forestry!!  Woo hoo!

Ring figure and #beatcitadel!

We made the trek to VMI to see Jimmy for ring figure and the citadel game

We weren’t able to rebook our flights to participate in ring figure but … grandma and grandpa came up a day early and were able to do everything!! Take Jimmy/friends to brunch, see the ring ceremony (tradition that juniors get a customized  class ring in an elaborate day of ceremony blessing and formal dance), tailgate with the other parents, watch and agonize over the game and basically just spend time together

They were thrilled and it’s definitely a once in a lifetime experience

Dad and Tom even were able to sneak into barracks and I think that made a very big impact on dad, he’s now convinced that VMI is barely one step above prisonπŸ˜‰

We hit IHOP, Ruby Tuesdays and take out from Hing Kong Kitchen. We also enjoyed yummy breakfast tailgate good and a homemade dinner at Josh’s home in Baltimore where we watched the Vikings game (it really was a horrible game)

Not to mention LOTS of football - VMI gophers South Carolina Tennessee and Vikings - I finally had to call a stop to it and watch the office for an hour

I even did my favorite river/nature walk where there is a random grove of bamboo and … visited the house I lived in for 4 years after I was born - crazy!

Most of all it was just great to be together

Do so glad my parents came up to meet us

Love to all πŸ™πŸ’•πŸˆπŸ¦ƒ

Billy’s excellent adventures

1st a quick update on Kay... no photos...of course.

This fall Kay created a resume, applied for 3 jobs, had interviews, GOT all 3 jobs and picked the highest paying one. She started last week! She's an art teacher that travels from school to school every afternoon. She has a HUGE art rolling kit and also gets mileage. Its the perfect job for her and we celebrated last night with a fondue dinner. So proud of her. The job even spurred her to finish her 2 days of community service so now we have the reckless driving ticket behind us. YEAH!!

Billy has been BUSY!  Applying to schools (U of M Engineering and Stevens Point Forestry) as well as kids orchestra concert (all wore PJ's and they played Disney music), halloween, he got a new bow and..not to mention TKD (2 golds and a bronze in South Dakota) but...the BIG news is....he had a blast on his orchestra trip to California.

There were 110 kids, 10 adults, 2 flights, 1 bus and 6 nights hotel.  They saw Disneyland, had a dinner cruise and dance (his favorite) saw sea lions in San Diego and the LA Orchestra. Sounds like a trip of a life time. So so proud of this kids. He's got more adventures in his future and I know he'll handle them with grace and kindness.

Big hugs and full love.
